USAID Center on Children in Adversity

To better coordinate its efforts on behalf of children, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) established a Center on Children in Adversity (CECA) in 2012. CECA places program support and learning at the heart of its efforts, working with U.S. Missions, civil society, the UN and the scientific community to systematically implement the Action Plan, measure results and generate knowledge of what works in supporting children in adversity programming at scale. CECA is home to the U.S. Government Special Advisor on Children in Adversity, a position mandated by Public Law 109-95.
